About Rafael Pascui

The most relevant journey was in the oil retail business. Starting in 1998 as a Filling station manager at MOL Romania and after 20 years becoming responsible for the Sales & Operations of the entire network (200+ locations, people in the organization). Then managing a complex transformation project of the whole operational model, involving new processes, new systems and a fresh way of thinking. “Secret ingredients”? A transparent, fair, both result and people oriented leadership style. Of course, it took a lot of work, a genuine curiosity to perform complex business analytics, choosing the right strategies, building strong, long-term relationships with business partners and patience to empower the team: identifying and growing talents, listening to their ideas and support them to achieve their goals, developing a healthy team spirit based on diversity and trust. The 5 years spent in Budapest at MOL Group, as Head of Fuel Pricing & Portfolio management meant coordinating the fuel assortment and pricing strategies for 11 markets. It was also a great opportunity to work with top managers, learn the executive language and manage global projects of 20 M EUR+ EBITDA impact. The latest challenge was reshaping and up-skilling the Export team to strengthen RURIS presence across Europe, through traditional, modern and online channels. A remarkable achievement was doubling year on year online sales at Amazon.
