About Rafal Marczewski

I’ve spent most of my life in the incredible world of aviation. From my early days as an air traffic controller to my current role as Vice President for Air Navigation at PANSA, I’ve been fortunate to turn my passion for flight into a fulfilling career. With decades of experience, including time spent in radar rooms, training new controllers, and managing air traffic at the highest levels, I’ve built a deep understanding of what makes the aviation industry fly. This hands-on experience has shaped my approach to leadership - grounded in practicality, strategy, and a deep respect for the people who keep planes safe in the sky and help them arrive on time at their destinations. Before taking on this role, I served as PANSA’s Strategy, International Affairs, and Projects Director and represented the Board on critical initiatives. I’ve also had the opportunity to work internationally with Qatar Airways, managing air traffic systems across Europe, the Americas, and the North Atlantic. Each role has been a unique adventure, sharpening my skills and broadening my perspective on global aviation. But beyond the business and technical side, I’m still the person who looks up every time a plane passes overhead. Aviation isn’t just my job - it’s my passion, my hobby, and sometimes even the subject of my best stories.
