About Rafal Walecki

I was filling duties of consultant in the area of Technical Mining Software through most of my youth. I have developed from this position into Senior Consulting and then Project Manager position. I have successfully delivered a number of MineScape software implementation projects in Russia/CIS, Australia and SA. From this position I have broadened my area of interest into general consulting. Within Mincom and then Ventyx I was responsible for whole of consulting in Europe/West Asia – that is including mine planning, logistics, and ERP/EAM software. During that time I've managed to extended consulting team in the region from 13 to 24 consultants, established local Project Management staff and raised revenue from U$1.8m (FY11) to U$3.2m (FY12). After Ventyx was established within ABB group of companies, decision was made to form separate global unit dedicated to Mining Technical Software. Within this group I was challenged with leading MineScape local team in EMEIA region, and building stable business on this basis within my own region, and by cooperation with other MineScape regions - globally. After Ventyx has merged with ABB, I was put in charge of Product Group Enterprise Software in Poland, and at the same time challenged with a task of building strong delivery center for EAM/ERP software in Middle and Central Europe. In July 2019 part of ABB company (Intelligent Mining Solutions portfolio) was acquired by Datamine, where I have started to fulfill duties of Strategic Solutions Project Manager - effectively driving large scale Implementation projects in Datamine International region. In January 2024, that was extended to cover heading of Datamine International Professional Services Organization.
