About Rafay Khan

As a graduate of Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo I have tailored my studies and work experiences towards the design and development of medical devices and technologies. I have had the pleasure of working in several biomedical fields with interdisciplinary teams concerned with the improvement of various technologies (X-Ray, MRI, IVUS, Surgical Simulation), serving in capacities of both software development and electro-mechanical device design. As a result, I have been exposed to the intricacies of the development process ranging from the prototyping stages to the validation & testing stages. I am keen on pursuing further opportunities related to these fields. My interests include product design, research and development and management of projects concerning the advancement of biomedical technologies. I have high-level proficiency with several programming languages (C++,C#) and modelling packages (MatLab/Simulink) as well as familiarity with CAD packages.
