About Rafferty Chaney

Over the last 7 years I was limited to jobs that allowed me to create my own schedule, due to my commitment to Junior Hockey. Junior Hockey has allowed me to travel around the United States and Canada. It has given me the opportunity to become independent and learn how to interact with various groups of people. The Job experience I gained from owning my own Lawn Care company has given me a greater appreciation for labor jobs. I currently have an internship at GOTWORX Staffing, which is a nation wide staffing firm. This Internship has lead me to understanding the base line of sales. Cold calls and rejection are two things I have found I am very good at. The amount of hard work and dedication has prepared me for any job opportunities that lie ahead. My work ethic and commitment will help me excel at my future career. I have a great understanding for being prepared and on time, I am someone any company can rely on. Although I am involved in Lambda Pie Eta Honors Fraternity, club hockey (Treasure) IFC (Director of New Member Education) and Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity (Director of Recruitment), I am very good at managing my time and getting my work done. My father once told me “If you want work done give it to a busy person”, I feel that I encompass that quote very well based on my drive and focus to finish any task I am given. Being one of the executive board members for my fraternity has given me a great understanding on how to excel in tough situations. I am one of the leaders that looked over 100 men who have come to me with problems facing their everyday life. Whether it is paying fraternity dues or helping people with classes.
