Raffi is the Head of Greater China and VP of Content for Collab Asia, a YouTube Multi-Channel Network (MCN) with offices in Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Singapore, Jakarta and Manila. Under Raffi’s direction, Collab Asia has become one of the leading companies representing top short form creators across Asia. As the head of Collab Asia for Greater China, Collab Asia has become the only international MCN’s to successfully syndicate and monetize foreign video content on Chinese platforms like bilibili, Xiaohongshu, Douyin, and Weibo. Raffi has also built Collab Asia's DRM and content licensing business since 2018, becoming a global leader in helping creators monetize and protect their content. Prior to Collab Asia, Raffi gained industry recognition for digital marketing, influencer marketing, online video, social media, and internet entrepreneurship in Greater China as a co-founder of alivenotdead.com, which was acquired in 2014. He went on to found the first YouTube MCN in Hong Kong in 2014 which was acquired in 2018 by Collab Asia. Raffi holds a PhD in Engineering from UC Berkeley and has held research fellowship and faculty positions at Kyushu University in Japan and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Raffi reads, writes and speaks business level Mandarin Chinese and conversational Japanese.
