About Rafif Srour

Rafif Srour is an academic with recognized experience in teaching, analytical and empirical research, and data analysis. With a remarkable ability to work in international/multicultural environments (Lebanon, USA, Spain) Rafif describes herself as Life-long learner; both academically and personally. Board-member of IE Women´s Unit and advocate of women in STEM empowerment - Breaking stereotypes one at time, multiple times winner of Best Professor award and strong advocate of using coaching and mentoring to help students improve their academic performance and overall college experience, Rafif Srour is an active member of the Learning Innovation Hub at IE University. In 2021, Srour was nominated among the top 183 Leading Data Academics by CDO magazine. In the same year, Srour was nominated among 55 leading women in the #technology sector in Spain, under the category of "Yo, Jefa". Rafif is driven by a profound passion to leverage technology as a disruptive force in higher education. Her ongoing efforts focus on innovating curricula and integrating Artificial Intelligence to enhance teaching and learning experiences. Rafif Srour´s academic journey encompasses a background in Agricultural Engineering (BE), a master's degree in Soil Science, and a Ph.D. in Environmental Soil Chemistry. Throughout her career at IE University, Rafif has transitioned through various roles, from serving as the Academic Director of the Bachelor in Data and Business Analytics to taking on the role of interim Dean of the School of Science and Technology (Sci-Tech) in 2021-2022. Currently, she holds the position of Executive Vice Dean of the Sci-Tech School.
