About Rahat Javaid

I completed my schooling from a beautiful village of Mansehra, KPK, Pakistan. For higher studies, i came to Islamabad with continuous struggle of my parents, became an Electronic Engineer in 2015 and desperately applied for jobs as well as for higher studies abroad, not knowing what i really wanted, thus following the mainstream trend of unemployed engineers in Pakistan. Among all these ups and downs, my real struggle was with my own emotions and my own reality, with my EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE. I started my Emotional Intelligence journey after changing my field of study. I have now successfully completed my Masters degree in Innovative Technologies in Learning with 4.0 CGPA from one of the top 250 universities in the world. For the last 4 years, i have been an Emotional Intelligence Enthusiast. The most important fact that has helped me to find answers about my own learning journey is that every child learns differently and EQ (Emotional Quotient) is important than IQ (Intelligence Quotient). I have not been just a victim of 'one size fits all' approach of our education system but i also struggled with my EQ because Emotional Intelligence is an alien to people of my beloved country. My degree in Educational Technology has allowed me to find diverse approaches towards learning, including the understanding and acceptance towards the utmost need of Emotional Intelligence, STEM and STEAM education. I have been working with RoboMinors since 2021 where I am broadening my learning of STEM and STEAM education while keeping my Emotional Intelligence enthusiasm alive. With my learning and research on Emotional Intelligence, my goal is to create awareness about Emotional Intelligence in Pakistan and work on STEM and STEAM education for kids :)
