About Rahel Cramer

I am an early career researcher, skilled bilingual communicator and detail oriented data analyst with a great understanding of the higher education sector. In my current role as Global Programs Coordinator I tap into these competencies to achieve best outcomes and support for internal and external stakeholder while facilitating international collaboration. In my research, I have focused on the intersection of cultural nationalism and economic globalization. I used multimodal and discourse analysis to explore representations of national identity in the media, in marketing and in linguistic landscapes. My most recent studies explore the tension between the ideology of monolingualism and multilingualism in the literary work of authors who identify as marginalised. Last but not least, I am a passionate runner and believe that 1. the mindset you need in long distance running and to keep up a training routine can be beautifully applied when working on long term projects / goals in a workplace; 2. pursuing passions not immediately related to our work keeps us happy, healthy, interested and ultimately able to bring our best selves to the workplace.
