About Rahma Amjad

I am a dedicated educator and education researcher with a strong foundation in teaching, curriculum development, and policy analysis. With experience in both national and international school systems, I am passionate about creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments and leveraging research to drive meaningful change in education. My teaching background includes working in both national and international school settings, where I’ve designed and delivered interdisciplinary units, led student-centered classrooms, and integrated critical thinking and global citizenship into daily practice. I’m particularly passionate about active learning methodologies that empower students to take ownership of their learning. My academic journey includes an M.Phil. in Education Leadership and Management from LUMS, where I cultivated a deep interest in systems-level change in education. I’ve served as a Research and Teaching Assistant, and more recently, as a Partnership Specialist at the LUMS School of Education, managing field-based learning programs and leading data-driven coordination between students, partner schools, and faculty. My research has spanned topics like early childhood education, language of instruction, teacher development, and the intersection of education with public health and fertility outcomes. I aim to bridge classroom practice and educational research — combining hands-on teaching experience with rigorous policy inquiry. Whether it's through facilitating student learning, developing curricula, or conducting fieldwork in rural communities, I’m committed to promoting equity, access, and excellence in education.
