About Rahmatullah Sukoot

Dedicated to building compassionate communities and driving impactful change, I bring a unique blend of international experience, community engagement, and human-centered service to every role I take on. With a background that includes working with the United Nations and Canadian nonprofit sectors, I’ve developed a strong understanding of how systems, services, and people intersect—especially in the areas of newcomer support, crisis intervention, and community development. I’m currently involved in frontline and leadership-level efforts to improve outcomes for immigrants and marginalized populations across Nova Scotia. As the founder of Compassionate Community Network (CCN), I lead initiatives focused on empowering newcomers to thrive and contribute meaningfully. I also have hands-on experience in settlement services, case management, and trauma-informed approaches, complemented by public speaking, cross-sector collaboration, and strategic planning. My current engagements with organizations like ISANS, alongside experience in adaptive fields like rideshare driving, reflect my responsiveness to community needs and my commitment to resilience, dignity, and inclusion.
