About Rahshid Rasool

I am a law graduate from the Department of Law, Central University of Kashmir, with a dedicated interest in Criminal Law, Criminal Justice, and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). My academic journey and practical training have shaped a strong foundation in legal research, drafting, advocacy, client handling, and court procedures. My legal training has been complemented by hands-on experience through diverse internships, including placements at the District Court Ganderbal and the Supreme Court of India, where I gained practical exposure to legal research, drafting, client handling, and courtroom procedures. These experiences enhanced my proficiency in legal analysis, procedural law, and advocacy, while sharpening my ability to navigate both trial and appellate forums. In addition to courtroom and chamber work, I have actively engaged in legal awareness and outreach programmes, contributing to public legal education and rights-based initiatives. These engagements have honed my public speaking, communication, and legal mobilisation skills, especially in the fields of criminal justice reform and legal empowerment. Now as a law graduate, I am seeking to begin my professional journey with opportunities in Criminal Law practice, Legal Aid services, or Intellectual Property Rights litigation, with a long-term vision of contributing meaningfully to justice delivery and legal reform.
