About Rahul Dabra

My area of interest includes working in the field of city planning through reputed organization/organizations and to contribute professionally to the preparation of Policy Guidelines, Strategies and Development Plans and to help execute the strategies on ground. My core strengths include thorough understanding of organizational structure at ULBs, State & Centre level and experience of working at ground level & capacity building. I excel at inter departmental coordination with liasoning and dialogue involved with different stakeholders in state and city administration and planning. I have experience of understanding the local context in terms of socio-economic profile, demographic profile, cultural profile and political setup. I have exposure of conducting participatory research and planning and performing analytical analysis based on primary and secondary data. I believe my professional experience of working with different stakeholders including citizens and execution of various government schemes makes me a potential candidate for the profile of Development Specialist. My work experience with ULBs & Development Authorities and in-depth exposure on issues linked with infrastructure provision, physical development, public service delivery and functioning of urban governance is an added advantage as they provide me a first-hand experience of project management and strategic decisions required from time to time during a lifecycle of a project. Further, having worked with 7 state governments in India across 25+ Master Plans / Development plans under various schemes which aimed at providing sustainable and inclusive growth, I have gathered a deep understanding of infrastructure development addressing urbanization particularly improvement of basic social services including housing, health,sanitation, water supply & sewage, the issues pertaining to all these basic social services and its ignorance in the formal planning mechanisms.
