About Rahul Jain

Bachelor of Technology degree in Civil Engineering from National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India, I bring over 11+ years of experience in the transport sector. Currently working at India Resident Mission, ADB with the transport group as Operations Officer since June 2019, and managing the operations for investment programs and sector loans of about $1.61 billion in transport sector in India focusing on Rural Road Development km) and State Highways Improvement (2,340 km). Actively engaged with the project teams and government agencies from southern India region for developing project’s concept notes, project preliminary reports and handholding to the clients with policy dialogue and inputs for project appraisal’s requirements posed for external aided financing. Prior joining to ADB, I was working with a Management Consulting & Infra/Real Estate Advisory firm providing strategic guidance to Infrastructure/Construction firms and Private Sector Banks in India. Extensively worked in Infrastructure Project Financing field broadly covering Road & Highways, Railways and Metro rail and completed more than 70+ project assessments, engaging in a range of activities such as project inspections, site supervisions, lender’s engineering responsibilities, evaluations of contractual frameworks, due diligence for contractual and implementation risks, project monitoring, organizational studies, and the formulation of business proposals.
