About Rahul Palan

Rahul has 14 years of work experience and a deep technical accounting knowledge serving multi-national clients in the field of Assurance IFRS/US GAAP/Indian GAAP accounting advisory and capital markets advisory. He presently works with the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) the accounting standard-setting body of the IFRS Foundation whose mission is to develop and maintain IFRS Accounting Standards for use globally (in more than 140 jurisdictions) and is the world’s most widely used accounting framework. Prior to this Rahul was a part of the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services Group in India focusing on helping companies report complex transactions and convert their legacy reporting framework financial statements to IFRS or US GAAP. Rahul played a key role in helping clients in their implementation of IFRS during India’s nationwide convergence starting in 2014. He has also led implementation engagements for newer accounting standards such as IFRS 9 15 and 16. He has advised entities from both financial and non-financial sectors having led service offerings that span the entire suite of accounting advisory solutions. His diverse sectoral experience spreads across asset and wealth management lending and broking entities investment funds chemicals power utilities & infrastructure FMCG healthcare pharmaceuticals and life sciences logistics real estate chemical oil & gas and technology. Rahul led engagements in support of PwC’s Middle East corridor US office and Dutch office in providing clients of these network offices an exceptional value through his and India office’s support.
