About Rahul Pathak

Capt. Rahul Pathak has wide range of experience including planning of Shipping, Port, Logistics Infrastructure, Working as trainer to train marine professionals and Sailing on Tankers. He has sailing experience of about 14 years in various positions. Whenever, on shore, he has been professionally activity in marine related field. He has worked commercial planning of several prestigious projects related to developing new ports in India, commercial feasibility of procuring a ship and deploying in a particular route, etc. The clients for these projects include both national and multinational companies apart from government. Capt. Pathak has deep insight into the maritime industry with hands-on experience in logistics, voyage and commercial management, HSSE, supply chain management and trading operations. He has undertaken End to End logistics planning, costing, cost comparison involved in selecting one port over anther for cargo handling, Inland connectivity, etc. • Capt. Pathak worked as full time Nautical Faculty at Samundra Institute of Nautical Sciences, Lonavala, India, from 01st Apr 2011 to 30 Sept 2011, taking STCW courses, and specialized tanker courses. I was also involved in taking lectures on Maritime Commerce, Economics & Safe working practices for on board staff and several others. • Freelance trainer for Germanischer Lloyd Academy (GL Academy), I have undertaken 5 days’ workshop in August 2011 on “Performance Enhancement Course for Deck Officers”. As part of the exercise also undertook augmentation of the existing training materials. • Undertook 5 days’ workshop on “Bridge Team Management and Leadership qualities for Deck Officers” on behalf of Germanischer Lloyd Academy (GL Academy) in the month of November, 2011 • Visiting faculty for maritime law and commerce at DG Shipping (Government of India) approved institutes in Mumbai, India.
