I had pursued Biomedical Science from Uclan.The final years of biomedical school had influenced on my decision to enter into neurobiology field. As a critical 3 months project on an investigation into N-type voltage-dependent calcium channel regulation of synaptic vesicle exocytosis in nerve terminals from diabetic rats. Then believed that I needed a platform to achieve my goals for which I pursued MSc by Research in neuroscience and dental science from uclan. I was attracted by the potential to blend clinical experiences with research. My research to date has focused on oral pathogens and their effects that occur on the exposure to a CNS cells. I find the challenge of resolving unanswered questions an important part of biomedicine, but my appreciation for the clinical research aspects has grown as well. My goal is to pursue a career in academia with a research emphasis in translation research and specialization in medical neurobiology. A specialization with translation research will provide a foundation for understanding the most intense, complex aspects of biomedicine, as well as many of the clinical principles associated with dental and neuroscience. My goal is to find a PhD program, which will provide a strong foundation in the specialized research areas such as stem cell, biochemistry, proteomic and genetic analyzes. I hope to then find a specialist program that is team oriented, will challenge me to learn, and will provide me the skills necessary to become an outstanding multi-tasking research scientist. It must be a program that will help me continue to develop as both a scientist and researcher, while providing a strong foundation in critical translation research as a platform for fellowship work and an eventual career in academic institute as a postdoctoral position.
