About Rahul Sethuraman

Hi! I'm a third-year Mechanical Engineering student at Memorial University of Newfoundland with co-op experience in project management, field inspections, safety design and data analysis. Over three work terms, I've developed a strong foundation in engineering practices through roles with Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and the Marine Institute. At NL Hydro, I contributed to the capital planning and long- term asset planning department by creating Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) documents, change management documentation and getting official quotes for heavy equipment procurement. My time at the Churchill Falls Generating Station included field inspections and analyzing generator load data to support operational improvements. In my first work term with the Marine Institute, I programmed algorithms to design interactive course questions on thermodynamics and gas turbine cycles for a Transport Canada examination preparation course.
