About Rainaflore Louis

I’m Rainaflore Louis (she/her), a creative and committed scientist and storyteller with a B.S. in Biology from Howard University (Cum Laude), and I’m currently pursuing an M.S. in Biotechnology with a focus in Biodefense and Biosecurity at UMGC.My scientific foundation includes experience in microbiology, genomics, phage research, and DNA isolation, particularly through the PHAGES program at Howard, where I identified and amplified bacteriophages using Mycobacterium smegmatis. I’ve also worked in long-term care facilities, education environments, and volunteer programs, strengthening my communication, research, and leadership skills. In parallel, I’ve built a career as a digital creator, hairstylist, and UGC (User-Generated Content) strategist. I’ve partnered with brands like Charlotte Tilbury, Garnier, Topicals, and Shapermint to produce authentic beauty, fashion, and wellness content that resonates with real people. Across these ventures, my goal is to uplift others through education, science, and creativity—especially women of color and first-generation professionals like myself.Whether I’m in the lab, the classroom, or online, I’m passionate about bridging the gap between science and community. I’m eager to collaborate in spaces that value innovation, public health, and authentic engagement. Let’s connect if you’re in biotech, healthcare, education, UX research, or brand strategy. I’m open to opportunities that challenge me to grow, serve, and lead.
