Coming from Data Communications background and for over 30 years specialized in the area of Airport- and Airline-IT, with extensive background in medium and large airport & government IT projects, as project manager in Europe, Asia, the Middle-East and Africa. Experience in Transitioning major IT-Outsourcing Projects. Had also a 8 years engagement in customer service & operations of large IT-Systems, Network and Voice & Convergence Services for customers throughout Europe and the US (mainly for ATI and NGO), before moving on to Programm Portfolio Management in the area of Border Control systems, specialized in Biometric Border Control systems and Traveller Risk Assessment. Currently heading the SITA at Borders Delivery Practice and Team of 12 staff including Infrastructure and Database Engineers and Business analysts for Border Management Systems in SITA. My main Focus currently is the implementation of Biometric Border Control Systems and Electronic Travel Authorisation Systems at Airports and Seaports. Specialties: Huge experience in IT operations and Customer support for Airline, Airports and also Non Governmental Organisations (i.e. UN Agencies, Worldbank). Project and Programm Management and operations of international high availability systems for passenger- and baggage-processing and for Government Risk Assessment and biometric border control projects. Over 8 years experience in the area of Customer Service Management Successful Implementation of Border Security, and Biometric Border Control Systems in Europe, Asia and North America.
