I am a Chartered Accountant (SA) with extensive experience across the automotive, logistics, vehicle rental, finance, operations, and customer service sectors. Before joining Motus, I spent 23 years with the Barloworld Group, where I held several leadership roles in the Automotive division, including serving as CEO of Avis Car Rental Southern Africa from 2015 to February 2020. I joined Motus in June 2022 and now serve as CEO: South Africa Vehicle Rental, responsible for leading brands including Europcar Car Rental, Tempest Car Hire and Auto Pedigree. My leadership approach is centered around clarity of purpose, commercial discipline, people development, and service excellence. I believe people do their best work when they have the right tools, systems, support, and accountability to deliver well from the start. To me, car rental is a service business. What sets it apart is consistency, trust, innovation, and the human touch, all supported by technology that creates a simple and seamless customer journey. Building high performing teams that deliver exceptional service, through delivering consistent and innovative solutions is rewarding. Our team aims to position the Motus Vehicle Rental brands as trusted mobility partners. I currently serve as President of the Southern African Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (SAVRALA), allowing me to contribute to the greater industry.
