About Raines Baker
I am currently a doctoral student at Florida State University’s Combined Counseling and School Psychology Ph.D. program. My research interests lie in learning how to improve mental health in college and university campuses, and in accordance with these interests, I work as a part of the Suicide Prevention Research Team at FSU. Before moving to Tallahassee, I gained clinical experience by working at an adolescent treatment facility as a dialectical behavioral therapy skills coach and instructor. I also aided in research to assess the effectiveness of the treatment program. Throughout my time in graduate school, I plan to hone my clinical and research skills, allowing me to eventually succeed in a career as a scientist-practitioner.
