Starting my journey in numbers and risk, I tackled key papers from IFoA—CT1, CT5, CS1, CS2, CB1, and CB2, setting the stage for my actuarial career. At Thanawala Consultancy Services in Mumbai, I delved into Actuarial Management, handling valuations for various Employee Benefit Schemes, including Defined Contribution (DC), Defined Benefit (DB), and other employee-related benefit plans. Working across different areas, I refined my skills in actuarial calculations and analysis, ensuring accurate and timely reports for a diverse set of clients. This journey provided valuable insights and growth opportunities. With an MSc in Actuarial Management from Heriot-Watt University, securing a 2:1 degree, I gained exemptions for Core Modules (CM2, CP1, CP2, CP3) and Specialist Principle modules (SP2 - Life Insurance & SP4 - Pensions & Other Benefits) from IFoA. At Wesleyan, I maintain accurate databases, handle complex member and third-party queries, and ensure benefits are disbursed according to plan rules and legislation. I also conduct data analysis to identify and correct inaccuracies, collaborating with the administration systems provider for precise calculations.
