About Rajeev Mysorekar

I have been dedicated to continuous learning my entire life, and have been driven to use what I know to help people. I was naturally drawn to the medical field, where I was able to learn vast amounts of new information, and then apply that information to support people during the most challenging times of their lives. As a Trauma Surgeon, I treated injuries and saved lives with confidence, understanding, and humility. I found that I had a special gift for helping people to navigate the confusing (and often frustrating) path from initial injury through emergency treatment, supportive care, and recovery. Guiding patients smoothly through their treatment course always gave me great satisfaction and pride. As a surgeon, I found myself treating a large number of wounds (both surgically created and traumatic) and this led me to focus additional efforts in the Wound Care field. Here again, I have been able to use my expertise to help patients through prolonged, challenging treatment courses, providing them with guidance and support during the path to recovery.In addition, I have always had strong interests in administration and public health, which led me to earn my MPH and my MBA. Looking forward, I hope to eventually influence the medical care of an entire community through hospital leadership. In this way I will be able to merge my knowledge, expertise, and public health interests to help improve the people’s health on a larger scale.
