I have 23 years of international development experience providing effective program management, operational, and grants award management functions. Experience in training civil society organizations (CSOs) in program management, grants award management, financial management, operations/procurement, human resources, board and governance, executive leadership areas and fundraising (from bilateral and multilateral agencies, foundations and philanthropies). Extensive experience to monitor sub-grantees performance during the selection, implementation and close-out phases of the grant agreement. Experience managing large operating budget (up to USD 50 million) with multiple donor funding portfolios such as USAID, US State Department, DFID, CIDA, AusAid, Dutch, Belgians, European Union (EU), Swedish SIDA and Norwegian Gov’t. Expert knowledge of USAID and Other Non-USG donors program, financial, grant and procurement procedures/regulations. Prior experience managing country programs working from headquarters level for effective financial, operations and program support functions to field offices. Experience working in hardship and post-conflict environments, Nepal, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Liberia, Nigeria. Staff management skills, building local capacity of host country nationals in program management, financial management, municipal finance and revenue generating sectors. Prior experience to administer budget allocation to minority ethnic local communities as outlined in the local budget regulations with the United Nations. Ability to translate numbers into words for non-finance audience. Superior communication and writing skills in English, Nepali (Native), Hindi, Spoken skill in Urdu. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word (Excel, Access, Power point) QuickBooks, Quicken and Cost Point accounting system and Google Applications.
