During my professional career some of my achievements and highlights are: • Implemented procedures that helped in strengthening internal controls and improving efficiencies through an enhanced system of checks and balances. • Implemented internal training & development program for the finance team whereby vacancies up to Chief Accountant level were filled internally by trained personnel with ability to move up the ladder. This helped in motivating and retaining the high performing personnel. • Introduced cost saving measures through renegotiation of external contracts & improving efficiency of internal processes, in order to manage economic downturn. Annual savings achieved over AED 1 million. • Implemented a proper procedure for collection, accounting and reporting of debtors balances, which led to an improvement in cash flows and significant reduction in bad debts. • Restructured the Finance department manpower, which together with automation of processes, helped to reduce staffing levels by 50%. • Implemented reporting tools for budgeting, forecasting and cash management that helped in identifying and addressing areas of concern at the right time.
