I am highly experience and committed Network Engineering professional, with in depth knowledge of technologies such as TCP/IP, VOIP, SDH, DWDM, Nortel, Ciena, Huawei and a wide range of routing protocols. Currently work for Equinix EMEA as Optical Planning & Implementation Engineer. Review HLD’s and make sure they are an effective design for future network growth. Assisting in creating engineering deployment packages (EDPs), including rack elevation drawings, space and power requirements, cable run lists, and other site-specific documentation. Executing/Developing test plans for new installs. Validate hands on testing, network designs, network deployment and implementing services and features. Reviewing all implementation work done by Vendor to see it meets SVT requirements. Ordering of hardware/cables etc. Keeping track of delivery so a implementation start date can be agreed on with Vendor. Attending weekly Vendor meeting and providing/requesting updates. Dealing with device rules issues which have been flagged up as an issue by Service Delivery Team. I have gained valuable experience over the last 20 years of my career. I am looking to build on my excellent technical skills and rise to the challenge of a new opportunity with a varied scope and potential. Over the course of my career I have developed a deep understanding of the operations environment and have been a key contributor in major projects. I have been a key technical resource in the integration of new customers and new technologies into MBNL’s Network as well as providing telephone support during the night and weekends on any major outages issues.
