About Rakesh Pulliyankodan

With over 8 years of experience in the automotive lighting industry, I am a passionate and driven tooling professional who strives to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions for new product development. I have a strong background in tool design, precision tooling, and machine tools, and I am currently the AME Tooling NPI Manager for North America at Marelli, a global leader in advanced lighting systems and electronics. In my current role, I am responsible for overseeing all new projects in-house molds from development phase to production in six plants across the region. I manage a team of 25+ Tooling engineers and NPI with the NAFTA Tooling Manager. Successfully launched 150+ molds every year, including mono color, multi color, and BMC tools. Some of the key programs I have worked on earlier stages include VW Tiguan, BMW X7, and Tesla M3. I leverage my skills in manufacturing engineering, project management, and problem-solving to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-performance tooling solutions.
