About Rakesh Sarin

Whenever I think of humanity and this visually arresting world, it only seems unfair how scantily we reciprocate to the abundance of this life and nature around us. Moreover, the stability of a nation lies in happiness and well-being. And perhaps this disquieted thought propelled me to lay the foundation of WellM. I have a passion for healthy living, and yes, I want to see people happy and in good health all around. And that is why I co-founded WellM to work closely with the corporates, educational institutes and their HRs to build a well-being culture that boosts people potential, productivity & happiness. Similarly, I co-founded JOP Inc, where I currently mentor a passionate team that is pegged in defying old-age obsolete methods of mining productivity and operating teams. JOP Inc. helps organisations and their employees achieve high performance through a comprehensive software tool for effective strategy execution. Apart from the above two ventures, I feel fortunate to have been actively involved with renewable energy, business development strategies, mergers and acquisitions, distributed energy platforms, and corporate advisory. I'm serving as a member of the Advisory Board of O2 Power Holdco (a JV of Temasek Singapore & EQT Partners - Sweden) and on Board of AGI Greenpac Ltd. After completing my education at IIT BHU, I worked with a colossal spectrum of people spanning across the globe. Started my career with Indian Oil & moved on to Caltex as their Country Manager India, Wartsila Corporation as their Global President for Energy Business & EVP on BOM and finally CEO of Suzlon's International Business. While working with the Scandinavians, I learnt the word ‘Sisu’ which, means grit and persistence. I embraced this philosophy with all my heart and soul. I believe working together as a team, we can reap high dividends. I always feel grateful for the privilege of working with the brightest people and guiding them to find space to strike the right balance between work and personal life. Thus, I have dedicated my life to promoting holistic health & bringing people together.
