With over 30 years of experience in senior management position at Benz Research and Development, now, a division of BVI Medical (since 2020), I have successfully designed and deployed variety of chemical and mechanical manufacturing processes, plant utilities and upgrades, Contact lens & IOL manufacturing processes, all under UL ISO 13485 guidelines. My qualifications and various leadership roles in Project Management, Process Development & Optimization, Process control & Automation, plus experience in successful spin-offs and technology-transfers, uniquely qualify me for management-level insights in Process Engineering and Plant Management, and hands-on design & deployment experience. Having led several Teams in production, design & maintenance under ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines, I developed and managed Software and Process Validations, CAPA, CI, CAD, PLC programming and SCADA systems. My Chemical Engineering & process control background, coupled with MBA and Six Sigma Black Belt, have helped me develop a unique skill-set that perfectly complements my extensive experience in process manufacturing and process control. Some of my projects include Ultra-high Vacuum distillation systems, contact lens & IOL manufacturing processes, clean rooms, HVAC and environmental controls, Capstone distributed-power generation with waste heat recovery for Li-Br Absorption chiller - all within the scope of ISO 13485 Quality Systems and FDA regulations. Incorporating Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing in Plant Operations activities, I aim to achieve Efficiency and Optimization in the processes, and prefer sustainable, Green technology solutions. Installing Capstone's C200 and C65 micro-turbine power generators with waste heat recovery for Li-Br absorption chillers, I have developed a fully integrated and automated, one-of-a-kind, combined-cooling-heat-and-power (CCHP) system with over 75% efficiency. Using CCHP efficiently, in conjunction with Building Management System, has been very profitable and can be a strategic decision to hedge against rising energy costs.
