About Raleigh Davis

At Solvay, I work in Specialty Polymers R&I as part of the Product Realization and Enabling Technologies team within the Engineered Materials Group. Currently I serve as the team lead for the US Product Realization team. In our group we focus on the scale up of new products, ensuring consistent production between sites, and providing day-to-day support for the compounding business assets and other Engineered Materials R&I groups. Prior to my current role, I worked as a product development scientist in the area of mobile electronics. In total I've been with Solvay Specialty Polymers GBU over 5 years, based the entire time in Alpharetta, USA. I was born and raised in southern New Jersey in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I was trained in chemical engineering at North Carolina State University and Princeton University, and have a passion for polymer/materials science. My wife Mary and I now live in Suwanee, GA where we enjoy being close to the north Georgia mountains and also near our families in Greenville, SC and Chattanooga, TN.
