I have been a Digital Native since the days of Commodore C64 and an early adopter of MS Excel after Microsoft launched it as a replacement for MS Multiplan. Curiosity has always been my compass at KPMG since those early days, so nowadays I am an expert in SAP S/4 Finance, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Microsoft Power BI, and BOARD Planning Software. But Finance Systems are only one part of my expertise. As KPMG DE Head of Finance, I am responsible for many other finance tasks, including strategy, planning, processes, operations, reporting, analysis, advisory, and change. I manage these tasks with a great team of approx. 130 FTE, who are mostly based in Berlin. In my career, I have also gained international leadership experience. From 2007 to 2012, I was responsible for the European Corporate Controlling team of KPMG ELLP (London, Berlin, Madrid, Zürich, Amsterdam, Moscow, Brussels, Luxembourg, Istanbul, Riyadh, Kuwait & Oslo). Finally, I am a little bit proud, because I believe that there are not many finance professionals who can say about themselves that they participated as young finance employees in the implementation of SAP R/2 (1992), later took on responsibility as a manager in an SAP R/3 transformation (1998), and finally designed and executed an SAP S/4 Finance transformation (2018) as a director.
