About Ralph Seiler
After returning from the Peace Corps, I began with the USGS in 1979 and retired in 2010. Most of my career has involved investigations of groundwater quality and hydrology. My research focused on processes resulting in human exposure to toxic trace elements (arsenic and tungsten) and radionuclides (polonium-210) in drinking water. I worked closely with CDC and ATSDR during their 2001-2003 investigation of the Fallon Leukemia Cluster and participated in numerous public meetings where the results of the investigations were presented to the community.
