About Ralph Stanton

A bi-lingual disaster scholar, human geographer, military spouse, and U.S. Army veteran with over 23 years of experience in leading others, managing projects, conducting research, coordinating resources, and providing support in various domains and settings. Currently enrolled in Graduate Coursework with Purdue University, studying Project Management Essentials (and Instructional Design and Technology in November) to augment a Master's degree in Emergency and Disaster management, a Bachelor's degree in Geography (minor in Spanish), and a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).My core competencies include critical thinking and leadership skills to manage teams and steward resources, as well as social intelligence to engage stakeholders in the global marketplace. I have published in peer-reviewed journals and presented my work at several conferences and forums, such as the United Nations Global Risk Forum, the Association of American Geographers, and the University of Central Missouri Homeland Security Conference. I am passionate about learning, traveling, and trying new things to transform perfect strangers into friends. My current mission is to obtain a remote position while finishing graduate studies towards Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
