About Raluca Timar

What I value and how I try to live my life, both personally and profesionally, is based on respect, fairness and empathy. I think that one of the best and at the same time one of the hardest to understand human qualities is our diversity. That is why I like and try to be original, speak my truth and be loyal to myself and my principles, without imposing them on those around me and trying to listen and hear the views and voices of the others. Over time and different experiences, I realized that I am an attentive, serious and hardworking person and that I like to analyze data, do research, make connections and find solutions. It was suprising for me to find out that even if I have a humanistic background, I like and I can easily learn and understand technical concepts and systems and help with their implementation and administration. That added an extra brick to my understanding of our diversity and adaptability and that is why I like to take different challenges and I have learned to view the bigger picture and not be limited to just the current circumstances. The different projects and situations that I was involved in, both as a translator and as a team leader working with HR and learning systems helped me be a more patient and calmer person, but at the same time, ferm and confident, being able to efficiently communicate with people in different job levels and handle difficult conversations. Work-life balance is important for me and I constantly try to do my best at the workplace, but be present when I am home with my family, appreciate and enjoy the things that make us laugh and feel happy.
