Online and tech-led Learning Evangelist, Education strategy specialist, Communication Strategist. Been in the business of communication, Journalism, and marketing for nearly 3 decades. Started off as a staff reporter in India's national Daily, The Hindu, I grew up the ranks, gaining increasing knowledge about different domains. I took keen interest in Education as a domain from 1995 and since then have been covering Education - across the spectrum from Pre-School to Higher education. Today possess a nuanced knowledge of different vectors that impact education - policy, law, administration, student aspirations, teaching - learning process, teacher development, pedagogical tools and processes. Today, education has come clearly out of the confines of institutions and has become a key ingredient for competence development for people even at work and at the macro level for industry. Having secured a ring-side view of education and its process from the sidelines, I moved into the I.T services industry in 2007 to gain insights on how education gets transformed into industry proficiency. Anchored several programmes that help the process and created new pathways for young industry professionals to gain proficiency in both technology and business. Was responsible for rolling out two key people development programmes while working at Cognizant. Both of them are yet to be replicated by any other company. Presently, in the current role as Head of Strategy and Foresight, for an research and technology led learning and education provider, I am working on initiatives that bring high quality learning programmes from accredited and non-accredited players and distribute them as online courses, to help students, fresh graduates, and industry professionals gain new competencies.
