Background: Educated at the National Institute of Fashion Technology - Delhi, in Apparel Merchandising Marketing. Accreditations in Lean Manufacturing, Supply Chain Essentials & Data Driven Decision Making. Extensive exposure to ‘The Theory of Constraints’ methodology Recent Career Highlights: As a Fashion and Apparel transformation professional' have been engaged in end-to-end client engagements driving both, operational growth and numbers. Starting with, identifying clients’ needs and the inherent potential of their companies, engaging with key stakeholders, helping them see the inherent simplicity and the compelling value in the solution elements. During execution, have adopted a ‘boots on the ground’ approach, with involvement in training, mentoring & handholding, ultimately effecting a culture change and building long term sustainable solutions. Have applied the twin methodologies of LEAN Manufacturing at the shop floor {In-line Productivity improvement initiatives, Quality @ source, Preventive maintenance, Pre-work & Quick changeover amongst others} and Theory of Constraints at the supply chain {combining Complete kit (CK), Priority management system (PMS) & Throughput Accounting(TA ) to synchronise end to end operations. Exposure: Career spanning over 3 decades, over 2 decades in senior leadership positions, with more than 12 years of overseas exposure in Middle East, North and East Africa and South-Asia. Entrepreneur and Strategist: An entrepreneur for seven years, conceptualized & successfully ran companies in UAE and Morocco, amongst the first to sell Morocco to US Based buyers. Business Development and Marketing: Instrumental in developing newer buyers, such as Jones Of N.Y, Francois Girbaud (Up market Jeanswear Co.), Williamson-Dickies, Haddad Sportswear for East Africa. Customers worked with in Morocco include Esprit, Guess Canada, Gloria Vanderbilt, Spiegel, Gymboree, Wal-Mart, and The Arcadia Group Plc. Other Customers Worked with Include: Levis, Gap, Dillards, J.C Penny, Nautica, Haggar Apparel Complex Greenfield Project Implementation: In India: Led a project-based assignment involving a “Captive Supply Agreement” “wrinkle free clothing”.
