About Ramesh Sahu

With over 8 years of experience in Public Health, Nutrition, and Food Security, I bring a deep understanding of program development, implementation, and field-level execution. My expertise lies in health and nutrition interventions, social welfare programs, food security strategies, research, and community engagement, particularly among indigenous and marginalized populations. A key focus of my work has been the socio-economic and health needs of the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) communities in Odisha. I played an integral role in piloting the Pada Pushti Karyakram (PPK), which has since been adopted by the Government of Odisha under the Department of Women and Child Development. Additionally, I’ve been deeply involved in the design and implementation of the Community Nutrition Program, aimed at addressing maternal anemia, child malnutrition, and improving nutrition governance. Collaborating with government bodies and civil society organizations has been a critical part of my journey, ensuring that our collective efforts lead to sustainable, impactful outcomes. My skills extend to strategic planning, capacity building, and writing—ranging from proposals and concept notes to study reports and research publications
