About Ramez Zayid

I am a first-year pharmacy student at Nova Southeastern University (NSU). I have completed my prerequisite courses and earned his Associates in Art at Broward College (BC), after which I attended Florida State University (FAU) to complete my Bachelors of Science in Biology. While at FAU I discovered a passion for assisting those younger than myself and my desire to make a positive impact in their lives. This led me to begin tutoring middle school students in Arabic and math, eventually becoming a role model and mentor to many of them. The personal and academic experiences I gained during my time at FAU further reinforced valuable skills such as leadership and effective communication. As I progressed in my studies I originally had a passion for dental medicine but soon fell into the path of pharmacy. Currently, I am uncertain of what direction I would like to take upon completing my Pharm.D, but I hope to explore all the different avenues pharmacy has to offer while at NSU. Thus, I am an active member of the Industry Pharmacists Organization (IPhO) in order to help reach this goal and to also get involved within the local community. I am certain that with the education I receive at NSU and my involvement in organizations, I will be able to make a sound decision on my future as a pharmacist. When not in school, I enjoy playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball. As well as, engage in morning physical activity at the gym to jump-start my day.
