About Ramnas Kc

I am a post graduate water resources engineer and has a demonstrated history of working in water resources domain for about 2.5 years adept in working with modelling tools like HEC RAS,SWAT,TerrSet modeller and GIS platforms like QGIS and Arc GIS. I possess a strong background in hydrological modelling. Key areas of expertise include flood and dam break modeling, remote sensing and GIS techniques, data analysis, climate change studies. I am currently working as Consultant in the field of Hydrology and infrastructure development for the organization Better world foundation. Here I deals with planning estimation and supervising of infrastructures and hydrological analysis of land required to development of agriculture farms in different locations of Jharkhand. I worked as Junior Research Fellow in Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM) for 2 years and have robust experience in setting up of rainfall- runoff model. I have worked on sponsored research project funded by Ministry of Jal Shakti, Govt. of India in the project entitled “Impact of Climate Change on Water Resources in River Basins from Tadri to Kanyakumari” to find the long term stream flow changes under different RCP scenarios.
