About Ramon Li

I live off the adrenaline of being an engineer. I chuckled when a fellow robotics member said this about me when I skipped lunch to continue working on my team's nightmare sprint. Although we were far behind and the team-wide technical assessment was due that night at 3:00 AM, we passed the assessment through sheer grit, qualifying us for the end-of-year tournament. Of course, I don't normally neglect my health. But don't we all have times where we are so excited that we forget to eat? Software engineering is one such source of excitement for me. My passion for software began during childhood, when I was obsessed with video games like New Super Mario Bros and MapleStory. I wanted to learn how they were made and create programs of my own. Fast forward a decade, and I began developing my own projects using knowledge from computer science classes and online courses. I have felt the fulfillment of creating my own website, app, and game from the ground-up. I have felt the pain and subsequent satisfaction of debugging hardware-dependent code. And I have felt the wonders of researching and designing time-critical algorithms. I plan to continue exploring this field both professionally and personally. One more thing: remember to eat!
