Mr. Saenz is an Electric T&D Utility Industry Leader and Senior Strategic Advisor with 30+ years’ experience in management and engineering mainly at American Electric Power, Duke Energy and various Consultancies and Service Providers. He has a passion for growing employees, revenue streams, and delighting clients. Mr. Saenz has in-depth knowledge and experience in Change and Transitional Management, Adding Revenue Streams, Client Relations, Hiring and Retaining Employees, Team Building, Coaching, Mentoring, and Conflict Resolution. He also has in-depth knowledge of T&D Power Systems, Modeling, Design, NESC, Review, Approval, Operations and Planning, Capital Project Prioritization, Automation, Smart Grid, Reliability Improvement, Power Quality and Litigation Management. He has also conducted Technical and Management Consulting for PUC’s and Utilities across the USA and has written Expert Witness Testimony. He was also a sub-team leader in the M&A of American Electric Power and Central & Southwest. Ramon created and managed the corporate PQ department for the New AEP. He has provided Technical Consulting to the US Standards Coordinating Committee and has held Industry Leadership Roles at EPRI, EEI and via Chairmanships and Advisories, where he created and launched the National Movement for Transmission Predictive Maintenance using PQ Data. He advised 100+ utilities and directed millions of dollars in T&D Research. Ramon is also multi-published and referenced in Utility and Industrial Power Quality. He is a Power Systems Subject Matter Expert recognized by peers and PhD’s with a white paper which became required reading at the University of Texas in a PhD Curriculum on Power System Harmonics. He has excellent oral and written communication skills and is experienced presenting to and persuading diverse stakeholder groups ranging from staff labor to executive management and at industry conferences to subject matter experts and PhD's. Currently he is an instructor of 519, 1159, 1100 and ANSI C84.1, and a Working Group Member of 519.
