I am an entrepreneur at heart. Over the course of my adult life I've had about three W-2 jobs, being a barista (coffee is my passion now), working at Ford Motor Company for seven years, to being a maintenance tech at McKinley. My first business was in high school where me and my brother bought and sold shoes on eBay which we called RJ's eBiz. From there I had many side hustles and businesses along the way in my 20's. Before I left Ford in 2019, I decided I needed to change my life because it was stagnant and the work was redundant. In the time leading up to me finally leaving, I wanted to find an industry to start in and it was real estate. The decision as I was closing in on leaving was to invest in self storage facilities. I didn’t end up moving forward in self storage. I did however, move forward in real estate where I wholesaled several properties, managed a portfolio of 30+ properties for private investors, starting a custom cabinets business where we built and installed kitchen and bathroom cabinets, and even invested in my own duplex. Since 2019 I have started a few other ventures which was accelerated by the pandemic. The pandemic I was a stay at home dad of two girls and now have a third because of the pandemic. That company is called Latte Stone which is in honor of ancient relics from my birth country of Guam. With that company I learned how to roast beans which I then packaged and sold online or in physical locations within my local area. We also created a cold brew through the beans that I roasted. It was not sold short in the quality as coffee is my passion. In 2021, there was an opportunity for me to grow another business. This was a car rental business through the Turo platform. I was able to take some cash and invest into purchasing about four additional vehicles alongside my personal car. The business became a very simplified business for me and generated revenue day one. It was a lot of fun being able to make money and spend little time on the business. Now I am in the startup phase of my newest company which was a bit of a surprise to me. This world of technology, venture capital, and coding is all more than what you can see from the outside looking in. I'm glad to say that I am now a CEO of Faire Rideshare, Inc which is a ride-sharing company focused on empowering drivers and riders through technology. We want the technology that we build to benefit both the rider and the driver. Contrast that to what we see in the current market is people being taken advantage of.
