Background
About Ramona E. Blinn
Ramona E. Blinn is a multidisciplinary artist from Clare (Nova Scotia). With a B.A. double major in French and English (2022) and a M.A. in Francophone Cultures and Spaces (2025) from Université Sainte-Anne, she values the interactions between languages in her intellectual and creative projects. Her master’s thesis, Parler la santé (2025), examines how speakers of Acadian French in Par-en-haut and Par-en-bas, in southwestern Nova Scotia, talk about and experience health. A keen researcher, Ramona lends her skills to oral history projects within the team at the Canada Research Chair in Acadian and Transnational Studies. During her teenage years, she supported exchanges on chronic conditions and produced Inconvenient: A Documentary on Chronic Pain (2018). Ramona is increasingly involved in community-based initiatives in support of community well-being, language, and storytelling.
