About Ramsha Iftikhar

Ramsha is a passionate and dedicated researcher in the field of synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry, with a focus on designing and synthesizing novel compounds for neurological disorders and brain cancer. She is currently a PhD candidate at UNSW Sydney, where she received the University International Postgraduate Award (UIPA) for her academic excellence and research potential. As part of her doctoral research, she is working on two projects: one is to synthesize novel psilocin analogues with potent antidepressant activity, and the other is to design and synthesize novel small organic molecules for brain cancer. She has published her findings in reputed journals, such as RSC advances, Rare metals, and Chemical Biology & Drug Design, and presented her work at several national and international conferences and symposia. Ramsha has also demonstrated her skills in communication, writing, and teamwork through her involvement in various volunteer, mentoring, and teaching roles. She is a volunteer at Arc - UNSW Student Life, a mentor at The Kectil Program, and a resource person at Allama Iqbal Open University. She has also been a researcher at Government College University, Faisalabad, where she completed her MPhil and BS degrees in organic chemistry with honors and awards. Ramsha is motivated by her curiosity and desire to contribute to the advancement of science and society.
