About Ramya Ragavan

I always thought my dream was to be a writer. It seemed like an appropriate dream given my MA in English. But I kind of felt meh. I yearned to learn more, yearned to learn something different, something changes over time and so I want to update myself and dwell in learning, learning which can make me feel new, trendy and young. After some time, one day I heard from my friend that her social media account was hacked and someone abused her account. I couldn't do anything for her at that time. Then I felt, I take defense classes and other protective things with me to keep me safe and secure physically. When it comes to cyber attack, i cannot think of any answers I could come up with. Then I decided to give a try in learning cyber security fundamentals then it started taking me to different areas in cyber security which I liked to explore. I completed SOC Analyst courses, CCNA, Microsoft Security Associate Certification and still doing more. I have hands on experience in Installation and configuration of OS, network devices, Firewall, Vulnerability Scanner, Web application scanner, IPS/IDS, CIS controls, and incident handling etc, I am still enthusiastically grabbing onto top security industry certifications. There is certainly yet more to learn, and I chose this because i will always get to learn new things in cyber security. To be more specific, I am interested in Digital Forensics. so I have completed CMFE ( Certified Mobile Forensic Examiner ) and CCFE ( Certified Computer Forensic Examiner ) which developed my knowledge in digital Forensics. I conduct investigation on Ransomware cases, Business Email Compromises and Firewall log analysis. I am familiar many security tools to conduct better investigation. Cyber security is my passion! I will continue my learning to grow and to contribute better to the world.
