About Ran Klein
Over the past 15 years I have been developing cutting edge medical imaging applications within academic research and clinical settings. Through industry partnerships, my research has resulted in several commercial products which are revolutionizing health care. My current interests are in the domains of artificial intelligence and machine learning for real-time quality control of medical data and to augment human medical image readers. A novel aspect of this research is the use of realistic synthetic lesions in real patient data to train deep learning algorithms, quantify performance and to compare computer and human observers for task based performance through perception studies. I am passionate about solving impactful real-world problems.
