About Randal Cunningham

I have spent most of my career in the food and service industry, specifically in events management for one of the largest catering companies in San Francisco. The job required me to manage the timeline for high end events, manage a team and delegate responsibilities, and with limited notes, use the team I had to provide an excellent event, and ensure smooth and reliable service. I was also the direct point of contact for the planner, my staff, rental companies, and the clients on-site. I feel as though these skills have made me very detail oriented and would be useful to your team, and would transfer well to not only juggle a busy schedule, communicate with high-end clients, and manage multiple projects while not letting any details fall trough the cracks. In conjunction to continuing to manage, I have taken on the responibilities as the Interim Beverage Director for a smaller catering business to help them design beverage packages, come up with specialty cocktails, and create beverage menus specific to certain clients to make their experience with us feel unique and personal. Aside from my logistics skills, I have earned a degree in sculpture and multimedia design, which was later followed by a year at San Francisco Art Institute to help develop my art further. The multimedia side has given me insight on the graphic design aspect of this job, using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign to name a few. I ended up working as a freelance graphic designer, creating logos for companies and conferences, designed published book covers, as well as some minor web design work. This has also led me to look at all jobs more creatively, and see alternate paths to get a better result. After I graduated, I worked as a music and recording instructor and I ran the after school program at a montessori school. I worked with children on the autistic spectrum, and designed lesson plans to keep the kids involved.
