About Randall Beadling

With ten years of experience as a genetic counselor, I thrive in positions that allow me to represent the organization interacting directly with clients. On top of laboratory genetic counselor responsibilities, I have also served in leadership roles and as support to sales, marketing, and billing teams. The beginning of my career was spent as a genetic counselor with EGL Genetics. I considered it a privilege to travel with our sales directors to clinics, hospitals, and key decision makers to identify client needs and gaps in services. I am also generated and gave clinical and scientific presentations to our sales representatives, professional organizations, and to our entire laboratory staff. In addition, I created sales training strategies and material and provided coaching to maximize the effectiveness of the account executives. Our marketing team leaned on my support for the development of plans and deliverables as well. As my colleagues continued to rely on my clinical, scientific, and institutional knowledge, I was able to familiarize myself with all aspects of a genetic testing laboratory. At EGL Genetics, I was ultimately given the position of Laboratory Support Operations Manager, in which I supervised the genetic assistants, accessioning, client services, and billing teams. I reported directly to the company’s president, and was tasked with managing my own time effectively, as well as the time of multiple direct reports. I have spent the past four years at GeneDx as an exome report writer and clinical service liaison responsible for educating healthcare providers across the entire rare disease testing menu.
