About Randall Moore

Experienced and skilled in many creative areas (technical and traditional) but with also a technical thirst for the "behind the scenes" mechanisms - is the best one-line description that can describe me. In other words, I am mostly driven by my creative spirit but have technical expertise also. Having supervised other employees, hired/managed freelancers and worked for many different companies and doing a myriad of projects has given me an advantage in diverse ways of completing work in the best way possible - even if it means challenging the client on what they think they need. I always am trying to improve my process to give better quality work and be more efficient. Customer satisfaction is number one - period. Recently at Ace Hardware Corporation I helped maintain three websites that supported the retail stores, vendors and corporate employees. I also specified and purchased new pro-level cinema cameras and gear (ex. teleprompter) to modernize the Ace studio where I filmed senior leadership and department managers giving important business/sales updates. Also at Ace I enhanced reporting of website activity using Google Analytics by using automated dashboard emails and custom reports so business partners could understand the impact of their messaging. At Waubonsee Community College and before that at the Geneva304 School District I had the opportunity to project manage - a little (I'll be honest)- where I helped create and launch websites. In the case of the Geneva304 School District it was a little bit more because I also designed about 80% of the visual look and feel, as well as being the point of contact for the district's vendor for their new CMS. My goal is to work for an organization where I can use my project management and creative skills and to deliver the best interactive solutions by providing exceptional visual design/illustration and custom front end code that meets/exceeds their needs. Workflow and team dynamics/development are also important and would be used for maximum effectiveness and user engagement. Finally, I always try to give more - just doing "my job" doesn't cut it. Specialties: Exceptional creative design abilities complemented with technical understanding of web scripting languages like HTML, CSS, JavaScript and working knowledge of PHP and ASP. User experience is the priority. Also excels in traditional illustration skills - logos, identity packages, technical and scientific illustrations (has published work by the Smithsonian Institute - p.4 has credit).
